    | Sunday School | | Regular Sunday School classes are held Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. for all ages. Our children's Sunday School program begins in the Circle with Miss Donna, our Children's Director. Circle activities begin with praises. Each child is given the opportunity to offer praises to the Lord for recent blessings. The children may listen to a chapter from a missionary book, or they may discuss the events surrounding an upcoming celebration, such as Christmas or Easter. Sometimes the children plan special projects while they are in the circle; both foreign and Houston-area missions have been focuses of children's service projects. Circle time always closes with the children on their knees in prayer. After the circle time is over, the children are dismissed to their Sunday School classes where they learn Bible stories, work on memory verses, learn how to become a Christian and how to live a Christian life. | Missionary Projects
| | We love missions! Once a month our children join the adults for a special missionary lesson instead of regular Sunday School. The Children's Nazarene Missionary Books are checked out to kids each week and are well read. Each year, our children participate in the District Children's Project, and help raise money for missionaries overseas to purchase much needed items, such as planes, motorcycles and bicycles. Additionally, the children often participate in Houston-area projects, such as collecting food for Easter baskets, and toothbrushes or other items for Christmas boxes. | Caravans | | Caravans is a Nazarene scouting program designed for children ages 4 through 6th grade. We meet every Wednesday at 7 p.m. during the school year to work on our badges. Caravan badges emphasize the importance of spiritual, physical and mental fitness. We are entering our sixth year of Caravans and are excited to have children who have been in the program long enough to earn the Phineas F. Bresee medal, the highest honor awarded to a Caravaner. The highlight of our year is the District Caravan Fair, where children enter projects they made throughout the year, and compete in areas of talent, skill and knowledge. | Vacation Bible School
| | Each summer we host Vacation Bible School for the children in our community. This is always an exciting week for the children as they learn new songs and scriptures, make special crafts and learn how to apply Bible stories and Biblical truths to their everyday lives. | Music & Drama | Developing our children's talents and abilities is important to us. That is why we created our summer drama program. All grade school children are invited to participate in a summer musical. Children are also invited to participate in seasonal plays and all-church Singspirations. Our teens' talents are developed through the Youth Department and the Teen Praise Team, who perform special music and lead the music on Missionary Nights. |
